Since I last posted, I have embarked on a journey that will last me a lifetime: I am finally a home owner. I have photographed many a home that I wished I could call my own and now I’ve found one. The journey wasn’t easy, but the rewards have been great. I would like to give thanks to everyone who helped make it happen:
Deirdre Doyle at Windermere Capitol Hill : Our awesome real estate agent and great friend. Deirdre drove us all over town all summer long while we wrung our hands and, at times, doubted we would find our home. She was always there to answer questions and give us new listings that we could check out.
Lynda Willis at Evergreen Home Loans L No question was too stupid nor any request too much for Linda. She helped us understand all of our options and was very helpful in getting our loan approved quickly and at the best rate we could get. She was with us from the very beginning – teaching us about how mortgages work, to the very end when we were finally signing our closing papers.
Patrick Berkley. Patrick is a local Seattle builder who helped us out several times with home inspections along the way. Thanks Patrick! Your expertise was greatly appreciated!
Last but not least, Kim Barnes: My sweetheart and co-homeowner. I definitely couldn’t have done it without you! I love you!
As for the home search and everything we learned along the way… that will be fodder for other posts.
